1) Introduction

Raah Youth Portal (“Raah”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a local-first opportunities hub for the youth of Balochistan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and the choices you have.

2) Raah ID is Optional

You can browse opportunities and use the core features of Raah without creating a Raah ID.
Raah ID is an optional feature for users who want a shareable digital profile inside Raah.

3) Information We Collect

A) Basic Account & Profile Information

We may collect information you choose to provide such as:

Name, profile photo, tagline, interests
City/region
Phone number (optional)

B) Raah ID Creation Data (Optional Feature)

If you choose to create a Raah ID, we collect the following required details to generate your Raah ID within the app:

Father’s Name
Date of Birth
Gender
City

We may also request:

CNIC number (optional)
We do not collect or store your CNIC card image or scanned documents.

These details are collected only for the Raah ID feature. If you do not create a Raah ID, you are not required to provide them.

C) App & Device Data (Technical Data)

To operate and improve the app, we may collect limited technical information such as:

Firebase app instance identifiers
Device/OS information (for compatibility)
Crash reports and performance diagnostics (if enabled)

D) Saved Opportunities (Local Storage)

Saved/bookmarked opportunities may be stored locally on your device to improve speed and usability.

4) How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide core app features (browsing, saving, viewing opportunities)
Create and manage your Raah ID (only if you opt in)
Personalize content using your city/interests (if provided)
Improve security and prevent abuse (e.g., duplicate IDs, suspicious activity)
Maintain app performance and reliability (e.g., crash diagnostics if enabled)

5) Public Visibility & Sharing Controls

Your public Raah profile is visible to others only when you choose to share your Raah ID via QR code or link (or if you change visibility settings inside the app where available).
CNIC number is never shown publicly.
Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Gender are treated as sensitive and are not intended to be public by default. You control what is visible based on app settings.

6) Data Storage & Security

Raah uses Google Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Storage) to store and process data. We use standard safeguards such as encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and security rules. Your PIN is stored in hashed form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risks.

7) Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services to operate the app, including:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage)
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (for stability and diagnostics, if enabled)

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

8) Data Retention

We retain your data while your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited data longer where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

9) Data Deletion & Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and Raah ID data at any time. If available, you may unlink/remove your Raah ID within the app. For permanent deletion requests, contact us at:

10) Children’s Privacy

Raah is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
